6 ways to protect yourself from a break-in

If you have been listening to the news recently, you've probably heard about the various break-ins that have been occurring around town. One garage break-in resulted in over $10,000 of stolen equipment. The following are a number of easy ways to protect yourself from a similar situation:
  1. Look into getting motion sensor lights. Burglars are terrified of being seen, so installing them is a great preventative measure.
  2. Install deadbolts! You can get them installed on any door, including your garage. Forced entry is the number one way burglars break into a home and a deadbolt takes care of that problem.
  3. Look into installing a slide lock on your garage door. They can easily prevent someone from breaking into your garage and stealing your  valuables.
